MASSAGE
“Culture” and “art” are sometimes difficult to understand through logic alone.
It is hard to give a rational explanation as to why humanity devotes so much effort to these fields.
Many people might think that humans could survive even without culture and art. So why have we continued to develop what some consider unnecessary?
What’s more curious is that, even in times of war or facing the threat of extinction, people have not forgotten to leave behind traces of cultural and artistic creation.
This is because culture and art are expressions of human emotion—and that is the biggest difference between humans and animals.
Without culture and art, our lives would lose joy, and we would lose our sense of purpose.
If culture and art did not exist, our lives would become bland and tasteless—we would become the living dead, breathing day by day with no spirit.
Culture and art are essential elements that make us truly “human.”
Perhaps culture and art do not directly affect our material lives, but they profoundly impact the growth of our souls.
Furthermore, diverse cultural backgrounds shape how people think and thus influence our attitudes toward life, indirectly changing our living environments.
In today’s world, where information travels instantly, our living space is no longer confined to the region or country we grew up in.
It is inevitable now to come into contact with foreign cultures and to interact with people from other countries.
Therefore, the mission of the International Culture and Arts Association is to promote understanding among nations through exchanges in music, visual art, and traditional cultures, while encouraging learning of international etiquette, language development, and global awareness.
Through diverse learning experiences during exchange visits, we cultivate respect for other cultures. Interacting and learning with peers from different backgrounds fosters self-recognition and personal growth, allowing us to reflect on our own inner culture and pass it on.
In addition, young students can build heartfelt friendships with the world and spread the passionate and vibrant culture of their own country—this serves as the foundation of citizen diplomacy (diplomacy conducted through the people).
With this educational mission in mind, the International Culture and Arts Association promotes international culture and art lecture activities to nurture dialogue skills, expressive abilities, initiative, decision-making, positivity, cooperation, problem-solving, learning ability, memory, and more among youth.
Moreover, the Association, driven by a spirit of public service, aims to extend cultural and artistic education to remote regions, offer resources to the socially disadvantaged, and give back to society through various activities. In doing so, we strive to develop a lifestyle art that blends tradition and culture, support the growth of each country’s traditional culture, and bring local cultural arts to the world.
One day, we hope to transcend borders and create a new world full of cultural richness, artistic meaning, and harmonious prosperity for all.
